Men Who Build Quietly

They do not arrive loudly. They are the men who commission the building, who buy the painting before the market notices, who remember names.\n\nWe photographed three of them in their own spaces: a architect in Lagos with a library of monographs, a gallerist in Accra with walls the colour of sand, a collector in London with a view of the river.\n\nEach wore a single piece from the new collection. The clothes did not compete with the rooms. That is the point.
