History
FAI World is a Lagos ready-to-wear house operating from Muritala Eletu Way. It has built a reputation for bold, colour-forward occasion pieces — kaftans, safari suits and double-breasted tailoring — at prices that sit below full bespoke but above the market average.
What I like
The safari suits are the stand-out. They manage to be loud and elegant at the same time — strong shoulders, clean pockets, enough embellishment to read 'occasion' without tipping into costume. The kaftans are also well priced for the finish.
Who it's for
Men who want to make an entrance at Owambe, weddings and celebrations without commissioning a fully bespoke piece. Best if you are comfortable in colour and a slightly relaxed cut.
Who it isn't for
Not for conservative dressers or anyone who needs a subtle boardroom look. These pieces are designed to be seen.
