Privacy Notice

Terrell Jones, trading as Maison Jones (‘Maison Jones’, ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’), is the controller of the personal information described in this notice.

This notice explains what personal information we collect through maisonjones.co.uk, why we use it, who we may share it with, how long we keep it and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Maison Jones, we may collect:

• —telephone or WhatsApp number
• —city or location
• —occasion and event date
• —clothing budget
• —build and fit information you choose to provide
• —notes about what you are looking for
• —newsletter preferences
• —photographs you choose to upload to See It On Me
• —information you send when contacting us or requesting an introduction

Our website and service providers may also process limited technical information needed to operate, secure and diagnose the website, such as IP address, browser or device information and server logs where applicable.

2. How we use your information

Find My Look

We use the information submitted through Find My Look to understand your occasion, preferences, budget and build and to respond with relevant Maison Jones recommendations or assistance.

Private introductions

If you request an introduction, we use your brief to identify a relevant tailor, designer or house and to facilitate the introduction you have requested. Where necessary to make that introduction, we may share relevant information from your brief with the selected tailor, designer or house. We will not send your details indiscriminately to multiple businesses.

See It On Me

If you choose to upload a photograph, the image is used only to provide the visualisation you requested. Maison Jones does not save the uploaded photograph to its own database or storage system. The image is processed through the technology provider used to generate the visualisation — the Lovable AI Gateway, which routes the request to Google’s Gemini image models.

We have confirmed that Maison Jones itself holds no copy of the image: it is held in your browser for the session, passed straight through our endpoint in memory and is not written to our database or to any storage bucket. We have not independently verified the retention or logging behaviour of the downstream AI provider, so we do not claim the image is never stored anywhere. If that matters to you, please do not upload a photograph.

House Letter / email updates

If you actively choose to join the House Letter or receive Maison Jones updates, we use your email address and selected preferences to send those communications. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe option in our emails or by contacting info@maisonjones.co.uk.

General enquiries

We use information you send us to respond to your enquiry and provide the assistance you requested.

Website operation and security

We may use limited technical information to maintain, secure, troubleshoot and improve the operation of the website.

3. Our lawful bases

We only use personal information where we have a lawful basis for doing so.

Depending on the activity, this may include:

• —taking steps at your request to provide a Maison Jones service or introduction;
• —our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving Maison Jones and responding to enquiries, where those interests do not override your rights; and
• —your consent, particularly where you choose to receive marketing emails or other optional communications.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

4. Marketing

We will only send promotional electronic communications to individuals where we have the appropriate permission to do so. Joining the House Letter is optional and separate from using Find My Look, Private Introductions or See It On Me. Marketing consent is never pre-ticked, and every letter carries an easy way to unsubscribe.

5. Who we share information with

We may share personal information only where necessary with:

• —technology and hosting providers that support maisonjones.co.uk;
• —database, email or form-processing providers used to operate the service;
• —the AI technology provider used to process a See It On Me visualisation;
• —a tailor, designer or house where you have asked Maison Jones to make an introduction; and
• —professional advisers or authorities where disclosure is required by law.

Service providers may only use the information for the services they provide to Maison Jones, subject to the applicable contractual and data-protection arrangements.

International processing: our hosting, database and AI providers operate global infrastructure, so some personal information is likely to be processed outside the UK. We have not yet completed verification of the exact locations and transfer mechanisms used by each provider. We will state the applicable safeguards here once that verification is complete rather than give you a generic assurance now.

6. How long we keep information

Find My Look, private introductions and ordinary enquiries

Up to 12 months after our last meaningful interaction, unless information needs to be retained longer for an ongoing relationship, legal obligation or legal claim.

House Letter

Until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent. We may retain the minimum information necessary to record an unsubscribe request so that we do not contact you again.

See It On Me photographs

Not retained in Maison Jones application storage or database after processing.

Technical and security logs

Kept by our hosting and backend providers only for the period genuinely required for security, diagnosis and operation. We have not yet confirmed each provider’s exact log retention period, so we do not state one here.

7. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights including:

• —access to personal information we hold about you;
• —correction of inaccurate information;
• —deletion of your information;
• —restriction of how information is used;
• —objection to certain uses of your information;
• —data portability; and
• —withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how your information has been handled.

8. Automated processing and AI

See It On Me uses AI technology to create the visualisation requested by the user. Maison Jones does not use See It On Me or other automated processing to make decisions about people that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

Maison Jones sets no advertising or behavioural tracking technologies. What the site actually uses is:

• —Strictly necessary: a small local-storage entry recording your analytics choice, and a local-storage entry recording that you dismissed the “install the app” prompt. Both stay in your browser.
• —Strictly necessary: local storage used by our backend provider to keep a signed-in session, only if you ever sign in.
• —Analytics (optional, off until you agree): Google Analytics 4, used to count page views and understand which guides are read. The analytics script is not loaded at all unless you choose “Allow analytics”.

There are no marketing cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party advertising tags. You can change your analytics choice at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our services or use of personal information changes. The latest version will always be available at maisonjones.co.uk/privacy and will show the date it was last updated.
